One Tempo beats three cars. Your group stays together at every stop, there is one driver to coordinate with instead of three, and the per-head cost drops sharply once you are past eight people. Ours are the Force Traveller in 12-seat pushback and 17-seat configurations, all with roof carriers for the luggage that a pilgrimage group inevitably brings.
What you get
- 12-seater has pushback recliners and more luggage room; 17-seater is bench seating and cheaper per head.
- Roof carrier included. Essential for groups doing Madurai–Rameswaram–Kanyakumari.
- Fits on the road to Thirparappu and Mathur. The full-size coach does not.
- One vehicle keeps a family group together at every stop, which is the real reason people book it.
When to choose something else
Narrow lanes in old Nagercoil, and the drive up to some Kodaikanal viewpoints where a smaller vehicle is quicker.
