The people who will actually drive you
Most taxi websites show a car and hide the driver. We do the opposite, because the driver is the product. The vehicle is the same Innova Crysta you can hire from anyone; what changes your day is whether the person behind the wheel knows that the Suchindram east gate queue is shorter after 10 am, that Padmanabhapuram is shut on Mondays, and that the Thirparappu road floods at the second culvert in a heavy north-east monsoon. So we publish who they are, where they live, how long they have driven for us and which languages they can hold a conversation in, not just greet you in.
Publishing profiles also keeps us honest. When a guest writes to say that the driver named on their confirmation was not the one who turned up, we have to explain why, and that pressure is useful. We publish nothing about a driver until he has agreed to what we print. We will not put a person’s face on the internet without asking, and we will not invent a biography to fill a gap. What you see is what has been checked, and nothing more.
The founder
Founder and lead planner · Kanyakumari · since 2010I drove every booking myself for the first two years, and I still plan the longer tours. The rule has not changed since the first car: quote a price you can repeat at the end of the trip, and never take a guest anywhere he did not ask to go. Everything else on this site follows from that.
Our founder grew up in Kanyakumari town and started the company in 2010 with a single second-hand sedan, doing station transfers from Nagercoil Junction and the early sunrise run. He held a commercial licence long before that and drove full time until 2013, when the second and third cars arrived and someone had to answer the phone. He still drives when a regular guest asks for him, and he still writes the itinerary for any tour longer than three days, because he has driven every road on it. He is the person who decided the company would take no commission from shops and hotels, and the person who has twice let a driver go over it. He speaks Tamil, Malayalam and working English, and can be reached through the office number for any complaint that has not been settled within 48 hours.

Pledge signedEach driver named here has signed the same one-page agreement with us. He is paid a monthly salary and a daily trip allowance, with his food and stay on outstation tours paid by us before the trip begins, so nothing about your holiday changes his income. He takes no payment from any shop, hotel, restaurant, boat operator or guide, and he does not stop anywhere that is not on your itinerary unless you ask. He carries a copy of your written confirmation with the printed fare, and he does not collect any money on a multi-day tour except the balance shown on it. He does not drive more than 12 hours in a day and he does not drive the hill roads after dark unless the office has agreed it with you in advance. If he breaks any of this, the office wants to know the same day, and the agreement says plainly that a commission stop is grounds for dismissal. We have used that clause, and we would rather you knew it.
