Every review we have is on Google, where we cannot edit it

Our reviews live on Google, where we cannot edit them

We keep our reviews where we have no control over them. A review on the Google Business Profile belongs to the guest who wrote it: we can reply, and we do, but we cannot edit one, hide one or take one down. A page of testimonials typed by the business tells you nothing, and every aggregator already has one.

Read the middling ones first. They are the useful ones. A three-star review saying the car was late to the station at 4 am, or that the driver was quiet when the guest wanted commentary, tells you what actually happens on a trip with us. The number to look at is not the average; it is how many reviews mention the fare being what was quoted.

Our reviews live on Google, not on this page

Anything we typed here would be worth nothing, because we could type anything. Our rating sits on the Google Business Profile, where the review belongs to the guest and we can reply but never edit or remove.

  • We never write, buy or incentivise a review
  • We reply to every one within 24 hours, in the language it was written in
  • Complaints stay up. The reply is the answer

How we ask for reviews, and how we do not

There is a small QR code on the back of the front seat in every vehicle. It opens our Google review form and nothing else. At the end of the trip the driver will mention it once, when he drops you, and that is the extent of the asking. He is not paid per review, he is not ranked by his rating, and he does not know what you wrote unless you tell him. We settled on this after trying the alternatives and disliking all of them. Follow-up messages a week later feel like nagging. Offering a discount for a review buys a distorted picture and is against Google’s rules in any case. Asking only the guests who seemed happy is a quiet kind of lying. So the ask is the same for everyone, once, at the kerb. If you had a bad trip, we would honestly prefer you to message the office first so we can put it right, but if you go straight to Google, we will read it, reply to it and leave it up.

FAQs

Questions about our reviews

Our reviews live on our Google Business Profile rather than on this page, precisely so that they are real. A review there belongs to the guest who wrote it; we can reply to it but we cannot edit or remove it. We do not write testimonials ourselves and we do not take down critical reviews. Search our business name on Google and read them at source.
Because we show everything, and some trips go less well than others. A late pickup, an older vehicle than expected or a driver who was quieter than a guest wanted all appear here as written. We reply to each one on Google saying what we changed. A page with only five-star reviews is a page that has been filtered.
No. There is no discount, no gift and no follow-up prize for a review, and drivers earn nothing per review or per rating. Paying for reviews is against Google’s policy and it would make this page useless as a guide to what we are actually like. The only ask is a QR code and one mention at drop-off.
Scan the QR code on the seat-back in the vehicle, or search our business name on Google Maps and tap Write a review. Either route takes under two minutes. If your trip went badly, we would rather you messaged the office number on the contact page first so we can fix it, but that is a request, not a condition.

Judge us after the trip, not before

Book, travel, then tell the truth about it. That is the only review system we want.
